Well this weekend brought a little bit of everything to Woodland Resort when we talk about winter activities.  The guys in Vacation Home #4 were up for the local Ice Fishing Challenge which is held annually in Alexandria.  They also did some ice fishing in our ice house rentals on Miltona.  The weekend was a great success and weather was warmer than average.

The family in Vacation Home #6 brought their sleds (aka: snowmobiles) and took to the Douglas County DATA trail exploring the area.  They also had a sled for their 5 year old who was able to run it around the resort grounds.

We also hosted three couples who met up from different parts of the midwest for their annual trip to cross country ski.  They tackled the trails at Carlos State Park and headed out for a nice dinner in town.

February so far has brought milder temps and a flurry of activity at the resort.  We have a new group arriving today that take over the resort and will be ice fishing over the next three days!  This is their third annual trip to Woodland and we know they will be bringing back fish for dinner!

As we look forward into Spring and Summer we do have some availability for you if you are not already booked.  Consider our "Value Season" in late May and early June, as well as later August.  Take a look at our specials as well for homes still available in the peak of the Summer!
